We say, “Free Palestine.”

They claim anti-Semitism.

We post, “Free Palestine.”

They say we are uninformed.

We march peacefully chanting, “Free Palestine.”

They label you a threat.

No matter what, your alliance with Palestine will always be a problem.

For the freedom fighters in Palestine who are begging to be heard…

We hear you.

Today, we tried to show the world what solidarity can do.

The Martyrs of Palestine

This is for the Palestinian mothers who brought life into this world, only to never see their children grow old in it…

The Palestinian fathers who fought until the very end to protect their families and what was rightfully theirs…

The children who were completely robbed of their childhoods and never got to see a free Palestine…

The elders that physically could not retaliate, but had the revolutionary mindset since birth…

The Palestinian bloodlines that were completely wiped out, and not a single member of the family remains…

The Palestinian men, whose lives were looked over because they were not women or children, your life still equally mattered…

The deceased that still remain unidentified, but are buried in mass graves, never to get a proper burial…

The ones who left this earth but had little to no remains left to identify them, their families will never get that closure…

This is dedicated to you, the martyrs of Palestine.

You fought for your country, your people, your right to exist, and now, you are buried and literally one with your country.

You are the seeds that will grow and blossom when Palestine is free.

Your stories of bravery and the ultimate sacrifice will forever be told for generations to come.

The whole world is watching, your suffering and deaths will not be in vain.

Long live the Martyrs of Palestine.

Don’t Look Away

The content from Palestine is graphic, but don’t look away.

The footage is plenty, but that doesn’t make it any less heartbreaking each time.

Their cries for help are loud and clear, but our president still looks away.

Elders are forced to leave their homes, but they should be enjoying the lives that they’ve built and worked so hard for.

The children are strong warriors, but their childhoods are completely destroyed.

Hospitals and places of worship are being targeted, but they’re still claiming this is a fair “war.”

Palestinians are being left without water, food, and connection to the outside world, but their suffering’s still being justified.

The world is asking for a cease fire, but the genocide continues.

They want this to blow over and have people slowly forget as time passes, but don’t look away.

History Repeats

100 years from now, the president of the United States will give a public apology for the crimes committed in Palestine.

They will speak of the injustices, the propaganda, how this was a shameful dark time in American history, and call it what it is – a genocide.

This is happening right now – children being murdered, bloodlines being completely wiped out, desperate cries for a cease fire.

This is all unfolding in real time.

This apology will come. And what a shame that this realization will come decades too late.

Why wait when Palestinians are being murdered, displaced, and traumatized right now?

The children of the future will open up their textbooks and learn about this tumultuous time, and how the United States funded this genocide.

History repeats itself time and time again, yet we never learn the lesson.

I’ve always wondered what part I would play during historic revolutions.

One day, the future generations will ask what you did at this exact moment.

We don’t have to wait centuries to admit that what’s happening in Palestine is wrong and unethical.

We won’t need the future generations to apologize for our current actions if we are taking action now.

Palestine, I’m sorry we’re failing you.

Neutral Nonsense

There’s a reason why people’s first instinct is to remain neutral during conflict.

As a nation we’ve been taught to only care about self…

If it’s not our country, not our people, not something that directly impacts us – it’s not our problem.

We are taught to not rock the boat, to not question authority, to see both sides.

Now don’t get it twisted – obviously you need to do research to know the full story and full history of a situation to come to a conclusion.

But after that assessment, if there’s a clear aggressor, it’s important to stand in solidarity with those that are being oppressed and fight for their liberation.

There comes a point where neutrality turns into betrayal.

Choosing to remain impartial in this situation is denying a race’s reality, it’s turning a blind eye to facts, it’s letting a genocide continue.

How can you be neutral during a genocide?

There is power in the shares, the likes, the advocacy.

If you’re hesitant to speak up, just know that that’s not by accident.

Neutrality from a nation is key… to start a war.
