Note To Self: Believe

For when you’re feeling pessimistic:

No matter how hard life can get, I hope you never stop believing. Believing that good things will happen, miracles are real, and speaking it into existence works. You attract and manifest what you believe – don’t ever count yourself out of your own blessings. You are deserving of all good things that have yet to come your way. There is no such thing as “too good to be true.” All of it can happen.

You know firsthand how the universe will give you everything you’ve ever wanted and more in due time. Your dreams are as big as you make them. Speak on them as if they are already yours. Be so confident in your belief that everything works out for you and you’ll always win in the end – because you will. What you water will grow, so focus on the endless possibilities where you get everything you’ve prayed for. Not on some materialistic shit, because you know that’s not where your happiness lies.

You have always been a dreamer. I hope you’ll always find a way back to believing in something bigger and truly believing that it will happen for you. And when it happens, I hope you know that you deserve it, all of it.

Note to self – Never stop believing. You deserve it all.

No Accidents

Post 5 of 10 of LoveYourzStory’s Jhené Aiko Series. Inspired by “Limbo Limbo Limbo.”

I’m deep in my Jhené Era. She’s def the top artist I’ve been listening to on repeat for at least the last 6 months. This series will be a showcase of how her music has inspired me throughout this journey – the journey back to self✨️

I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Everything is calculated down to each second.

There’s no such thing as right place, wrong time.

Believe that some things were just never meant to happen.

I’m a firm believer that there are no accidents.

Each moment is strung together for a bigger purpose.

If everything is meant to be, there is no such thing as wasted time.

I used to mourn lost time, wasted time, too much time.

But everything is connected, there are no coincidences.

You will never be too early or too late for what’s yours.

Right place. Right time. No wasted time.

Forced Transformation

Post 2 of 10 of LoveYourzStory’s Jhené Aiko Series. Inspired by “Born Tired.”

I’m deep in my Jhené Era. She’s def the top artist I’ve been listening to on repeat for at least the last 6 months. This series will be a showcase of how her music has inspired me throughout this journey – the journey back to self✨️

Cherry Blossoms starting to bloom in San Francisco.

They say the universe will intervene if you remain stagnant.

But the cosmos are patient and understanding too – they always give us the free will to redeem ourselves.

Evolve or repeat – learn the lesson and grow, or repeat the same cycle in different forms until you get it right.

Avoid what needs to be done, and watch the universe pull the rug from right under you. Time’s up.

You have no business being in places, situations, and connections that don’t serve your highest good.

My Tower moments always came at the right time.

This was a forced transformation.

Thank you, universe, for giving me no choice but to get the ball rolling.

Nobody talks about how overwhelming and exhausting it is to be cracked open.

But once the light gets in, there really is no going back.

What a rewarding, yet chaotic, journey it has been so far.

I’m learning to not question what the universe has in store for me.

There are no accidents. Now, this is all by choice. I have to keep going.

What’s For You

I’m a true believer in divine timing.

As cliché as it sounds:

What’s for me will never pass me.

And if it passes me, it wasn’t meant to be.

What’s mine will never have to be forced.

So, what a waste of time it would be to wallow in

anger over things that were never for me to begin with.

What is meant for me, will always be mine.

Even if I miss it at a wrong turn,

fate will bring it back time and time again.

Let situations come and pass as they do.

It’s easy to get hung up on the why and try to force fate.

But everything happens for a reason.

Don’t question the divine timing.

What enters your life is meant to enter.

And what exits your life is meant to exit.

What is meant for you will always be yours.

Caterpillar Era

I’ve always been intrigued by the caterpillar.

What a beautiful part of nature –

to see a living thing transform from 1 thing to another.

But the caterpillar literally has to die

before it can turn into a butterfly.

And nobody thinks twice about the process.

In fact, the rest of nature expects it.

Nobody wonders if the caterpillar was ready.

Nobody mourns the creature that it once was.

Nobody questions the evolution of the caterpillar.

Everybody just celebrates the end result –

when a beautiful butterfly emerges from the cocoon.

But I’m more intrigued by the metamorphosis –

the caterpillar doesn’t question the process.

It doesn’t try to resist its evolution,

or question what will happen in the end.

They go with their natural clock.

Unaware that with time, isolation, and fate,

it will evolve into something else entirely.

Evolve Or Repeat

They say those who don’t know their history are condemned to repeat it.

That is true for things outside of world history, we hate to admit it.

I saw an Instagram post that read, “Evolve or repeat.”

Not gonna lie, that hit home, and those 3 words cut deep.

Because that shit is true, I’ve experienced it first hand,

you have to learn the lesson before you can expand.

Some people are doomed to repeat the same fate

until they set their own record straight.

Evolve or repeat…

You can’t move on until it’s complete.

It’s one or the other, either do it again or make a change.

At times it can really feel like an unfair exchange.

How do you expect different results when things are being done the same?

And then to have it be an endless cycle is truly a fuckin’ shame.

Now, I know that change is definitely easier said than done.

I’ve had my fair share of scenarios where I had to look in the mirror and see what I’ve become.

So I’m not acting all high and mighty and trying to throw shade,

because I know first hand how this game is played.

You keep repeating because you have that glimmer of hope,

and then you continue and then you realize…. nope.

At what point does the cycle need to break?

Yes, don’t give up easily, but at what point is your sanity at stake?

Fuck this shit, get me out of this cycle, get me off this ride.

You’re becoming aware, and now you can say you’ve tried.

That’s the first step in what can feel like a never ending cycle –

see the pattern, and stop being so in denial.

You’ve been here before, you don’t want to repeat and dance this dance again.

In that case, you’ll be open to try something different then.

I want to evolve and learn the lesson I need to know,

for I know it is necessary for me if I really want to grow.
